Starting out early this year!

As many of you know, I’ve been participating in this wonderful fund raiser for the Children’s Miracle Network, raising money for my local children’s hospital. This year it is being held October 25th and I will be abusing myself once again!

Last year I raised $630 and appreciate each and every one of you for that support. This year, I want to break $1000 and so I’m going to start early and do random things to raise money through out the year.

My teammate’s and I have some things planned for the marathon and are currently working on them. More info will follow on that later.

But for now, you can see this years page for me here, please share it with your friends: http://www.extra-life.org/participant/89852

What about prizes, David?

That’s part of the more info will follow.

But! If you’re local here in the Seattle area and love music, I have four tickets to see Sea Wolf on March 6 at The Triple Door for you and three of your friends. If you’re not familiar with that name, Sea Wolf is a wonderful indie rock group.

Interested? Check below:

To win these, donate any amount over $25 and you will be entered into the drawing that will be held on Feb 20th March 1st at 6pm.

Thank you for your support!

*****UPDATE 2/21/14***** Extended donation period to March 1st

I love Cake’s music and they’re great in concert. But sometimes I wonder about some of their messeges they put out:

A single stadium concert releases 500 to 1000 tons of carbon dioxide, which is between 25 and 50 times more than the average American produces in a year. Perhaps it is time for bands to just stop touring already?

The article also goes on to say this in the same paragraph:

That number does not even take into account fans’ transport, the immense amount of garbage produced or any fire-spewing Kiss-style pyrotechnic displays.

Maybe we should all just stop breathing instead.
