Issue’s continue with my back. The doc said he wanted me to continue light duty and highly recommended I try to find another position that doesn’t require lots of heavy labor.
My main goal since I was originally hired by Cox back in 1999 was to work my way into the engineering dept. Either design or headend. It takes years of experience to do that though. I believe I posted before about applying for the maintence position and was a finalist, but didn’t get it. With Comcast, there’s a dept that would actually put me a step closer to that, the LMC. Its basically a NOC.
After months of watching the internal postings, a position opened up and I applied for it. I had a phone interview this past Tuesday and felt pretty good about it. I then recieved a call Weds night requesting an in person interview this coming Monday. Yay!
Thanksgiving ended up being pretty good this year. I went down to Fry’s and sat there most the night until opening at 5am. Talk about a bunch of asses, people were actually pushing and shoving to get in. The police had a blockade set up and it was kind of funny watching people try to push past them unsuccessfully.
But I got some shopping done, a few things picked up. Went back to pick up Meg so we could hit up a few other stores. After getting back home, fell asleep about noon and woke up at 9pm.

So by now, its old news. Obama will be our next president, and even though I hadn’t voted for him, I congradulate him. This does not mean i’m a republican. In all actuality, i’m a Libertarian, and lean towards the Independent as well. Confusing? :p
Anyways. I got a new phone. The T-Mobile G1. And I LOVE it. I’ve been playing with this thing non-stop for 3 days now. And who ever had the number before me must of been a playa… Got a MMS with a pic of some girl taking a picture of herself in the mirror. When I told her I had just got the number, she said ‘Oh. LOL. Enjoy the pic.’
Other then that, its been basically the same shit, just a different day.
